Learning Objective 1: Classroom Management Teachers will learn classroom management techniques, how to build student relationships, and classroom organization/routine techniques. Learning Objective 2: Preparing my first Days: Teachers will create a course syllabus and a plan to deliver on the first day. Teachers will design an engaging first day/week activity as an introduction to the course. Teachers will practice student relationship building techniques. Finally, teachers will engage in a CTE LEAP 101 course and develop a list of “high leverage” moves to quickly become a good teacher. Learning Object 3: School Basics: Teachers will have a deeper dive into CareerConnect Schoollogy, IC, and other technology expectations. School basics will also be discussed (phone calls home, office hours, building classroom culture, when to eat, when to take care of personal needs, etc.)
